National Tour Arrives at Riverside Arts
Market on Saturday, October 10
The
Toyota Hybrid Farm to Table Tour came
to the Riverside Arts Market on Saturday, October 10. Toyota
created the Farm to Table Tour to highlight farmers markets around the
country and the benefits they offer their communities, and to celebrate
the food produced by each market’s farmers and vendors.
RAM wass the 12th of only 13 stops the tour is making across the USA.
During this event, in booths throughout the market 12 local beloved
local chefs and farmers were paired together for a day that
highlighted the Riverside Arts Market’s offerings. The chefs
prepared special tastings showcasing their partner farm’s fresh
ingredients and visitors had the opportunity to sample the chefs’
creations while also learning more about the market vendors, their
products, and how to buy and eat seasonally.
The chefs were from the following great restaurants: Chew, Uptown Market, Eleven South, Taverna, Pastiche, Richard Nunn, Biscottis, Burrito Gallery, Orsay, Cafe Du Marche, Sweet Pete, and Bistro AIX.
The chefs served up samples from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
In addition to free tastings, visitors will had the opportunity to
select potted culinary herb plant starts at the Mobile Garden
Highlander Hybrid, and also entered for a chance to win a unique
culinary prize package. Toyota also provided interested market
goers with the opportunity to take a ride in the 3rd Generation Prius
or a 2009 Highlander Hybrid.

Toyota
is dedicated to using eco-friendly materials throughout this nationwide
tour and will be purchasing carbon credits through TerraPass to offset
the impact of the tour’s carbon footprint.

founders and the hard work of our amazing volunteers and talented

is having on the environment.”
After Jacksonville, the Toyota Hybrid Farm to Table Tour made its
final stop at the Red Stick Farmers Market in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on
