The
Brown Bean Express
The Brown Bean Express mobile coffee cart is owned and operated by
Cheryl Ruppert and Theresa Davis.
Cheryl is a recently retired Physical Education elementary school
teacher from Montclair Elementary in Clay County. Theresa runs another
business besides the Brown Bean Express during the week. She owns Iris
Landscape Maintenance and Design five days of the week and joins her
partner, Cheryl for Saturdays at RAM.
They purchased The Brown Bean Express
cart from Vancouver, Canada more than five years ago, but they just
couldn't find the right spot on Jacksonville streets, until now. The
Riverside Arts Market has been the best place for the business and for
making lots of new friends. Theresa's landscape business is mostly in
the Riverside and Avondale area, so every weekend, they see lots of
people they know at the cart and have also added many new customers and
friends. No one remains a stranger for long around the Brown Bean
Express.
In keeping with the goals of the arts market, they use a local roaster,
Bold Bean Coffee, for their blends, and they use 'green' cups to help
the environment. For the summer months, they also added healthy
smoothies to the menu. But no matter what your preference, hot or cold
coffee, a hot chocolate, or a smoothie, you will also get excellent
service with a smile. Be sure to check out their mobile espresso cart
in their usual spot, at the convenient corner, near the stage and
restrooms.
