Riverside Arts Market - A Day in the Life of a RAM Artist

You Made It --  Now It's Time to Sell It!

RAM was conceived as an ideal venue for artists, and it is dedicated to supporting the needs of the local creative community. RAM is your very own storefront, with little overhead and a dependable weekly opportunity to sell your art.

A central theme of RAM is “hand-made art.” You make it, you sell it. All art is reviewed to ensure that the quality of work in the Market meets high standards and that you will be exhibiting your work in a prestigious environment.

The Market opens at 10:00 each Saturday, so you need to get there early to get set up and ready to go. You can drive right up to your pre-assigned booth space. The Market opens for artist setup at 6:30 a.m. Those with trailers must unload before 7:30. All vehicles must be unloaded and moved from the Market by 9:30 a.m.

Please observe this rule:
  1. Drive in.
  2. Unload (10 minutes).
  3. Park your vehichle.
  4. Then come back to set up your booth.
Please observe the one-way traffic flow so we can get everyone set up efficiently. There is a vast amount of public parking is nearby for your usage, and the earlier you get unloaded, the closer you will be able to park.

All of this is spelled out in the Guidelines for Artists and Vendors. Please read these carefully.

After getting unloaded, you’ll set up your booth in your 10’ x 10’ space. Electricity and water are available on a limited basis. Our guidelines for booth construction and displays are pretty loose to allow maximum creativity. You are encouraged to be creative without going crazy. Just stay within the rules.

Then, for the next six hours, you’ll sell stuff! Your booth must be
manned at all times, so feel free to make arrangements for a “booth sitter” to hold down your fort if you wish to take a relief break. (Restrooms are within a hundred yards of your booth.)

75% of the booth spaces are covered by the bridge canopy, so rain and the hot sun will not be a major concern for most exhibitors. Conditions may vary, however, so dress and plan accordingly.

The Market closes at 4:00 p.m., and we will breakdown as quickly and orderly as possible. No vehicles can enter the Market site until 4:15 pm. Again, there will be one-way traffic flow to expedite the process for loading your vehicle. You must be completely moved out by 6:00 p.m.

Finally, it’s time to go home and make more artwork to sell next week!

RAM is an evolving process that will grow and adapt to meet the needs of artists. We welcome your suggestions!

Thank You to our Artists!
You are the heart and soul of RAM!
